As the investigation progressed I asked Dispatch to advise Chief Danter #501 of the Glenwood Police Department of the situtation. At 0152 hours Chief Danter was called. While I was still at the scene, Kyle Thompson, according to Deputy Own has advised that he would like to have legal representation. At approximately 0206, Attorney Bruce Obeland had call and had advised Kyle Thompson that he could not represent him as there was a conflict of interest. Thompson was represented by attorney Kevin W. DeVore. Pope County Attorney Neil Nelson was the attorney for the state. “Given the evidence that was presented at trial I was surprised by the result,” Nelson said after the trial. “Nonetheless, I always respect the decision of the jury.” Kyle Thompson acquitted on all counts after three-day jury trial. the rag called Pope County Tribune. Made a fee resolution amendment at the request of Glenwood Police Chief Dale Danter. The fee for retrieval of public data is now set at $65. Any retrieval requiring more than a half-hour will be charged out at $65 per hour. Any data request totaling less than $4 will not be billed. City to move ahead with plans for equalization basin. The Pope County Sheriff’s Office, based in Glenwood, Minnesota has recently gone live with LETG’s full suite of public safety software.
