Charges have been filed in a controversial case in Thief River Falls. Earlier, prosecutor, Al Rogalla was under fire for not filing charges against Salley Mumm, one of his friends. He turned the case over to the Clearwater County Attorney, who has now filed charges. Apparently, Ike believes news media can negotiate terms of police investigations. And he's willing to use his reporters who are under police investigation as tools for news stories. Never mind what is best for the reporter, it's all about what's best for ratings. Resolution of KVLY News Reporter School Trespassing Investigation

The Moorhead Police Department conducted an investigation of the December 11th, 2013 KVLY news report about local schools’ security. News reporter, Mellaney Moore, publicly broadcasted that she had entered a Moorhead Public School and walked throughout the school without notifying or registering with school officials as required on posted signs and by state law.
Upon completion, the investigative file was forwarded to the Clay County Attorney’s Office for review and consideration of trespass charges.
A Declination of Prosecution letter from the Clay County Attorney’s Office has been received indicating that no criminal charges would be pursued. A mediation agreement prohibits involved parties from disclosing specific details to the resolution.
For those of you who don't know Friday is the day that the so-called important people who think and act like they are above the law dump all the bad news that they don't want spread around into the news cycle, isn't it? It is, isn't it?

Producer Weinberger knew or should have know that a conflict of interest for one county attorney is a conflict of interest for all county attorneys in the office, shouldn't she? She should, shouldn't she?
