With use immunity, Dede and the Dahlen’s aren’t given immunity but the prosecutors promise not to use any of the testimony in their trials – at least not directly. Prosecutors don’t promise they won’t use the knowledge that they gleaned to better frame their questions and case. Gina Dahlen testified at Sandra’s trial that she’d helped dozens of abused children at her White Horse Ranch; Gina testified that the girls came of their own free will, that they could have left any time but they chose to stay fearing for their safety if forced back.
