How can you trust any arrest, prosecution or conviction in (Insert name of County)? You can't, can you?

According to the statement from the county attorney’s office, new evidence had “come to light demonstrating a lack of probable cause that the defendant committed this charged crime.” The county attorney’s office specifically cited a statement, given by the alleged victim to local law enforcement, that no sexual assault or attempt to hold the victim against her will took place and that the bruises on her legs were not caused by Kennedy. This appears to be a surprising development in a case (Case No. 34-CR-14-430 - Note: No expungement there, is there?) that I used as a comparison case for Principal Peterson, doesn't it? It does, doesn't it?

According to the complaint, the 19-year-old victim reported the assault to Willmar Police early on Monday morning at Rice Memorial Hospital. The woman told officers that she had met Kennedy at a Willmar motel and that he had asked her to go to his room. The woman believed Kennedy was intoxicated and said she repeatedly told him “no” and pushed away his advances before he sexually assaulted her. She also told officers that she attempted to leave the room more than 10 times before Kennedy allowed her to leave the room. … Kennedy was apprehended later that same day and refused to speak with investigators. Apparently, the 100% conviction rate for alleged sex crimes is taking a serious hit in multiple counties, isn't it? It is, isn't it?

Sounds like attaching the Principal Peterson case to any case in the area will result in a dismissal, doesn't it? It does, doesn't it? Must be why I am going to save Peterson's case here before the inevitable cover-up . . .aka expungement, right?
